The membership and organizations affiliated with the International School Health Network include the following:

• Practitioners (national voluntary or professional associations), researchers and government officials from each of the countries
  
  
• Research and resource centres that are focused on school-based and school-linked health promotion
  
  
• International associations and networks that view the school as a key vehicle in preventing a specific health or social problem or in promoting an aspect of health (i.e. mental health, sexual health, bullying, drug abuse/crime, etc.)
  
  
• International networks and associations that support school health promotion through a specific language of work (i.e. Spanish, French) or in particular cultural or economic contexts (i.e. Aboriginal communities, low income countries)
  
  
• Regional offices and networks established by international agencies such as WHO, UNESCO, UNICEF and the World Bank
  

Each of these five constituencies select individuals to serve on the ISHN Board of Directors for a three-year period.
